Funky Friday Playlist 7/16

I was a guest DJ on the commercial station The River 93.9 WRSI on Friday. Phil's excellent program Funky Friday runs weekly 6 until midnight. He usually plays classic soul and funk in the first portion, followed by nuttier and more contemporary funk. We utilized the classic side to showcase some music by Allen Toussaint who plays the Green River Fest this year. And the late side gave some exposure to some contemporary bands that need to be heard by a larger audience. Thanks so much to Phil for this fun opportunity!
