My guests and ticket giveaways on this week's Radio Clandestino

I'm pleased to have some afro-funky guests tomorrow, Monday July 19th, on Radio Clandestino. My guests this week will be Leon Ligan-Majek aka "Kaleta" of Zozo Afrobeat, who will be with us live on the phone, and members of local afro-funk ensemble Shokazoba, who will be in the studio with me. We will be hyping the Zozo/Shokazoba show at the Elevens this Saturday, as well as giving away tickets. Join us from 230-430pm (ET) at WMUA.org 91.1 FM.

Kaleta, from Benin and currently living in New York City, is a veteran of the bands of Fela Kuti, Femi Kuti, King Sunny Adé, Shina Peters, Akoya Afrobeat Ensemble and currently with Zozo Afrobeat and Lauren Hill. We'll have him on the horn for an interview about his life and music and various other topics. And we will have Shokazoba members on hand as well for a fun radio party featuring afrobeat music, including tunes on the Afrobeat Revival and Afrobeat Revolution CDs that DJ Bongohead and I did for London's Rough Guides label. The CDs will be available for purchase at the show this Saturday.
