The Clandestino Spiritual Game...special blockbuster program on Monday

For this Monday's Radio Clandestino program, we have a special edition lined up for you. I will team up with Tony Udell, host of The Underground Spiritual Game (on right before Clandestino), for a four and a half hour marathon of tunes.

The first portion (from noon-230) will feature classic african music as well as contemporary afrobeat music from around the world. This keeps with Tony's usual theme, except that I will be selecting along with him.

The second portion (230-430) will feature some personal favorites of various genres by both of us.

Check it all out at WMUA 91.1 FM, or stream it live here. Noon-430 (ET).

Here's a gallery of some folks you may hear...how many of these icons can you name from looking at their pictures?

In order: Fela Kuti, Charles Mingus, Nina Simone, Curtis Mayfield, Orchestre Poly Rythmo, Lee "Scratch" Perry, Archie Shepp, Public Enemy, Max Roach, Jimi Hendrix, Randy Weston, Bad Brains, Eddie Palmieri, Thomas Mapfumo, James Brown, Alice Coltrane, Santana.
