We had a party in the studio again, thanks to all the guests and giveaways we had going. Congrats to all the lucky listeners who won tickets.
My guest for the first half was J Metcalf of the Alchemystics, who were hyping their annual Halloween blast at Pearl St. We jammed some tunes, including the world premier of their forthcoming "Thinkin' Bout U". We also gave away tickets and CDs. Always a pleasure. And they were kind enough to donate CDs to WMUA for our annual fundraiser (tune in next week).
My guests in the final portion were Priscilla Page and LA-based comedienne/actress/artist Kristina Wong. Kristina was in town for two nights of her latest one-woman production "Going Green The Wong Way".
As far as song selection goes, I mostly played from a bag of brand new promotional items.
