Legendary New Orleans producer/writer/arranger/bandleader/pianist/vocalist Edwin "Eddie Bo" Bocage has passed on. He was the creator of some of the US's stankiest funk numbers, not too mention all the groovy rhythm & blues and street jazz classics, tunes like what we played toward the conclusion of the program. We'll certainly miss Eddie Bo. Check your bucket! On another note, much appreciation goes to George Myers aka DJ Snack Attack for coming thru with the tasty portion of 45 RPM magic. Check out our monthly "Sweet Exorcist" night of vinyl jams of all things funky, every third friday at the People's Pint in downtown Greenfield, MA. Sr Snack Attack also holds down (with DJ Ca$hman) Tuesday nights and Saturday nights weekly at the Basement in Hamp.
