Some pics from La Placita del Mercado

Thanks to all the dancers, percussionists, partiers, etc for making this a wonderful summer welcoming. Thanks to Patti, Ingrid, John, etc for setting it up. Thanks to my DJ partner-in-crime Studebaker Hawk (below-with the stylin' hat). And thanks to Jonathan Capra for these photos. We'll do this party again in Sept.

Sunday, June 20, 2010

Andujar's four and a half hour radio jam will be rockin' tomorrow!

That's right, I'll be doing another fill-in for Victor in his Tabula Rasa slot (noon-230) and will run into the usual Clandestino spot (230-430).

The Tabula Rasa side will feature some music from the late Bill Dixon and Funkadelic (Garry Shider also passed this week), as well as a range of free jazz, international psych, and other worldy sounds.

The Radio Clandestino side will be the usual...the hardest in world musics!!! No Putumayo collections here folks.

Guest DJs may drop in as well. Let me know if you want to come by.

Be with us all day from noon-430pm (ET) at WMUA.org.

PS-RIP Manute Bol.
